Arsene Wenger, coach of Arsenal has ruled out the speculations that the starts will be leaving the Club. Speculations starting to build up, as Arsenal are out of the title race, following their 1-2 defeat to Bolton on Sunday. But Wenger has made it clear that the players are here to stay, and will not be leaving.
With Gunners once again going trophy less this season, speculations about the future of the top players at the club has resurfaced. The Captain, Cesc Fabregas, is strongly linked with the Spanish Club, Barcelona. The Spanish Giants are behind Fabregas for a long time now, trying to crack the deal and get the Spaniard to his Home. Wenger signed Fabregas from Barcelona’s Youth academy. The Spanish club is making all possible efforts to sign Fabregas.
But, Wenger has no intention of partying ways with the Captain and has made it clear that he is here to stay. The young sensation, Jack Wilshere, according to reports is also being approached by some big Clubs, Manchester City leading the queue. Wilshere is a wonderful find for Arsenal and he showed his worth when Arsenal defeated Barcelona in the 1st leg of Champions League. Wilshere was indeed the man who helped Arsenal beating the Catalan Giants.
Although, Wenger is firm on his decision that no player at the Emirates will be allowed to leave the club, unless the Club agrees to free the player, with long term contracts there for the reason.
Wenger stated “When you sign a contract for four or five years, you are committed through your contract to win trophies with the club where you sign,” “It is no contract that if you do not win a trophy in the first year, you can leave,”
The Frenchman also said “Nobody asks them to wait. We can win straight away. You speak like the players are not responsible for winning trophies. They are also responsible, like I am, and the fans are”
“Why should we sell Cesc? We have built a team around Cesc and we have now Jack Wilshere as well. We want to keep doing that.”
The never ending rumors, speculations are very irritating for the players, the club and the fans. Though it is sign of worry for the fans, as one never knows what happens at the transfer window. All that Arsenal fans can do is keep faith in the club and hope for the best. The club just needs to win a title to bring such news and reports to an end.
