Meerut, Nov 18: Indian pace swing attack bowler Praveen Kumar, who was already engaged to his childhood friend on Nov 7, today got married to her. Sapna Chaudhary, who is an International level shooter and herself studied from Miranda House in New Delhi. Praveen and Sapna were looking each other from last five years, and at last now they have tied the knot today in Meerut. The wedding ceremony was the private one and not much with hype and very much excitement. Praveen Kumar the natural swing bowler for the nation also went Lucknow, to do shopping of his clothes a few days ago.

Praveen already bought the sherwani, which he was wearing today from Lucknow few days back, and for this, her friend Jyoti Yadav helped him to choose that. There was no special designer clothes person for PK, as he is called by that name from his team mates. As he was very busy with his wedding preparations, PK skipped the Ranji Trophy match against Orissa in Lucknow, and was smart enough to give the reason of injury to board officials. But Praveen Kumar was in no mood to hide his truth and admitted that the injury was no reason at all. “First of all this was a very important and precious event of my life, so there were some preparations to do for that, so it was not only the injury reason to avoid the match,” said the right arm medium pace bowler.

The wedding ceremony was with very low hype and in a simple manner as Praveen doesn’t like to show off. He always believes in simplicity and was expecting his team members to attend the ceremony. But because as the third test between New Zealand is near, not many team members were present in the wedding as they were busy with their preparations. About 3,000 were present in the wedding including the relatives, friends and special guests.
