Its official now; the IPL 8 opening ceremony will take place this Tuesday, the 7th April, 2015 at a glittering ceremony in Kolkata. A lot of live performances are expected at the launching ceremony of IPL 2015. Bollywood celebrities including the likes of Shahid Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma and others will perform at the occasion. They are sure to set the stage on fire with their amazing dancing skills.
The recent statement released to the media by the BCCI announced that renowned superstar Saif Ali Khan will host the dazzling show. Famous actor and singer Farhan Akhtar will also enthrall the audience with his husky voice and super hit songs. Bollywood music director Pritam will also reach the venue to mesmerize the audience with some of his popular foot tapping Bollywood songs.

Like previous year, Sony Max and Sony Six will live telecast the opening night ceremony of the IPL and entire tournament this year as well. The captains of all eight IPL teams will join the occasion. They will take the MCC Spirit of Cricket pledge to ensure that IPL stays committed to its goal of promoting the game in its right spirit.

The IPL opening ceremony will continue for a couple of hours or may be little more. Actual performance of the Bollywood stars will start from 7:30 pm onwards. The price is set around Rs. 200/- per ticket.
This year’s IPL tournament will have a lot of things at stake. Primarily, the presence of some of the veteran Indian cricketers in the tournament will be a matter of huge bonus for them. They will definitely try to prove their mettle on the field and will perform spectacularly to shut the mouth of their critics.
