Cristiano Ronaldo – THE MACHINE

A machine can be defined as some kind of device or equipment which never runs out of power or energy and assist us in our work. Well Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t quite assist us in our work but he sure entertains us with his amazing football skills week in and week out. The Real Madrid superstar hardly misses any game and plays the full ninety minute of every match. No one can ever question his contribution and effort on the football pitch. His dedication for the game is something to be admired of for both youngsters and adults in the game. From his Manchester United days where he was trained and guided by the great Sir Alex Ferguson, Ronaldo has come a long way in his career. Regarded by many as an arrogant and a selfish player during his time at Old Trafford by many fans and the media, Ronaldo has silenced all his critics and redeemed his whole character.

Cristiano Ronaldo - THE MACHINE

Cristiano Ronaldo – THE MACHINE

Cristiano Ronaldo is an athlete who is strongly built, tall, muscular and gifted with immense speed. But football is just not only about athletics, it is played with anticipation and improvisation. A player needs to make decisions and analyze upon the information he has. One need to understand that football is just not about only running fast, it is about how well you can judge and change your direction while running with the ball. You need to make decision on the pitch and anticipate during the different situations. Ronaldo is the picture of all the above. He jumps well, shoots frantically, and change direction with will. He creates a web around the defenders and scorches the field with incredible dribbling skills. Cristiano who is a two time Ballon d’or winner started his campaign in the United colors at the age of only eighteen. He excelled in the game dramatically, catching everybody’s eyes. Since 2003, Ronaldo transformed himself from a skinny boy to a muscular individual. His work ethic and training is vigorous and phrases like ‘no pain, no gain’ are indeed true with him. He scored 118 goals in 295 appearances for Manchester United and is considered as one of the greats at Old Trafford. He is one of the best in the business for one more reason which is his absolute ability to entertain everyone

A very important fact about Cristiano Ronaldo is that he never drinks, smokes and doesn’t have any tattoos which is very rare for a player at a level of his. As a teenager Ronaldo would train in the games using weights tied to his either foot, and then dribbling with the ball. He thought it would improve his technique because without weights he would be even faster. The Portuguese Captain does 3000 abs per day to stay fit and to perform at the highest level.  Ronaldo is currently the best paid footballer on the planet and he worth his value in diamonds. Madrid president Florentino Perez certainly thinks that way. When Ronaldo jumps to score a goal he generates 5G of Gravitational Force on takeoff which is five times the power of a cheetah in full flight. This enables him to reach heights of 44cm in the air from a start and 78cm with a run up which is 7cm more than an average NBA player. Cr7’s body fat is about 10% less than a slim cat making him the perfect machine for fast sprinting and athletic courses. During his static jump he generates five times as much as power as a cheetah which is why when he jumped to score the header against Manchester United in 2013 his feet seem to be at a height of Evra’s head. Even his free kick’s average speed is 13.1 kmph, which is compared roughly with the speed of a space shuttle while launching. All those incredible features make him a perfect machine and a constant threat his opponents.
