The 2nd edition of Saath7 Cricket Mahotsav, organized by Wonder Cement is flagged off at The Taj Mahal Hotel in the esteemed presence of legendary Cricketer – Kapil Dev. He was accompanied by the Director of Wonder Cement, Mr. Vivek Patni, Mr. Tarun Singh Chauhan, Management Advisor and other dignitaries who actively engaged themselves at the mega event. The event also witnessed the presence of other celebrities and dignitaries.

After the huge success of the first edition of Saath7 Cricket Mahotsav, the second edition aims to make it as the biggest ‘Consumer Engagement Campaign’. This year, the wave of togetherness will flow through Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh along with its Janma Bhoomi – Rajasthan. The tournament will witness some exciting cricketing action and the Grand Finale will be held in Udaipur on the 24th of December 2017.

Few facts about Wonder Cement Saath7 Cricket Mahotsav 2017 are:

#1 – 340 tehsils across Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh are covered.

#2 – Composed of 4800 teams.

#3 – Around 3,00,000 players will participate in the tournament.

#4 – The Winning prizes are to the tune of Rs. 40 lacs.

It is a ground for the people of remote areas of the three states to come on field, show their talents and make their cricket dreams a reality. It is an opportunity for the aspiring women to come up on the field with dignity and play alongside men. And, it is an excitement which is eagerly awaited by people to interact, play and enjoy the fun and amusement it brings along. It is one of India’s biggest gully cricket tournament.

The tournament will also encourage participation from women, by awarding seven runs to a team if a girl is a part of the playing seven. After 15 hit-out matches between the 16 shortlisted teams, one winning team will emerge as the team of the tehsil. Tehsil teams converge at district headquarters and face each other to shortlist the district team. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kapil Dev said, “It is a proud moment to be associated with the Cricket Mahotsav. This event brings out the hidden talents within the country and gives people from different walks of life an exhibit to their talent.”

It is a wonder in itself. The entire tournament is a festival from 1st November to 24th December hence we call it a Mahotsav. It is not about winning or losing, it is about the spirit.”
