# 11 – Cricket is Sachin Tendulkar’s first love, but still he is a big fan of various perfumes, watches and cars.

# 10 – Believe it or not, Mumbai Maestro’s first purchased car was a Maruti 800 in 1995.

# 9 – After scoring his magnificent debut ton against England at Manchester in 1990, Tendulkar got a Magnums champagne bottle. But he was barred from opening the bottle as Sachin was under 18 at that time. British rules don’t permit anyone to consume liquor below 18. Eventually, the Sachin finally tasted the champagne in 1998 on the occasion of his daughter Sara’s first birthday.

# 8 – Sachin Tendulkar used a very heavy bat while batting. It weighs something around 3.2 lbs. Only, Proteas all-rounder Lance Klusener used a bat heavier than the master in the history of the game.

# 7 – Master Blaster began his domestic cricket season in style hitting three consecutive centuries in each of his first innings in Ranji, Irani and Duleep Trophy.

# 6 – The “God of Cricket” is the only Indian to have accomplished all major awards of the nation. From Arjuna Award to the ultimate Bharat Ratna, Tendulkar is the only person to have done so.

# 5 – Sachin Tendulkar-Sourav Ganguly formed one of the most successful opening pairs in ODIs in the early 2000 era shared a very warm bonhomie with each other. Tendulkar called Sourav Ganguly “Babu Moshai” while Ganguly called him “Chhota Babu”.

# 4 – Little Tendulkar once asked his mother to bring a frog bhaji (fry) recipe for him.

# 3 – Former Aussie all-rounder Andrew Symonds once autographed a T-shirt for Sachin with the following caption “To Sachin the man we all want to be”. Symonds always has a high regard for Sachin Tendulkar even after Monkey gate scandal in which Tendulkar didn’t utter a word against Bhajji which Symonds and Australian team expected. However, both Symonds and Harbhajan later played together for Mumbai Indians at IPL under Sachin’s captaincy.

# 2 – Legends Sachin Tendulkar and Anil Kumble had never faced each other in a Ranji clash ever. Literally, it was a win-win moment for both stalwarts as they never clashed against each other as rivals in India’s famous Ranji Trophy championship.

# 1 – Known for his righteous attitude and playing in the spirit of the game, Tendulkar stirred up a major controversy (the only one in his 24-year-long cricket career) in 2001 when he was accused of ball tempering by match referee Mike Denness. The then match referee Mike ordered 1-year-suspension to Sachin along with several other punishments to five more Indian cricketers. However, the order was later reversed following massive hue and cry from ICC to BCCI. TV replays clearly showed that Sachin Tendulkar was actually cleaning the ball with his finger that is fully legal.
