After beating Mumbai Indians (MI) at home, Smith and Company is now all ready to clash against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at Indore on Saturday. Captain Steven Smith played a fantastic knock in the last T20 hitting an unbeaten 84* while guiding his team to a massive victory against Mumbai.
Pune will definitely wish to retain the winning momentum and leave the bad memories of the past year far behind. Last year, both Punjab and Pune stood at the bottom of the IPL 9 league points table. This year, both teams will try to pit each other in a quest to start the tournament on a winning note.

RPS have a lot of quality match winners in their side. Dhoni, Smith, Stokes and Rahane are the well experienced batsmen and know exactly how and when to accelerate the run-rate. They can rotate the strike in the middle overs as well as hit the balls out of the park as and when required. When it comes to bowling, much will also depend upon the bowling of spinners; Imran Tahir and Adam Zampa. Stokes, Unadkat and R Bhatia will lead the Pune’s pace attack.
Likewise, KXIP are all set to start their journey on a positive note. The team looks absolutely refreshing now under the leadership of Glenn Maxwell. The team has capable match-winning batsmen like Eoin Morgan, Martin Guptill, Darren Sammy, David Miller and Glenn Maxwell. No doubt, they provide a solid depth to the team’s batting. Protea’s opener Hashim Amla will open the innings in the absence of Murali Vijay.
