Maruti Suzuki is back with the country’s most anticipated off road motor sporting event with the flagging off the 15th edition of Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm from Noida on 29th January, 2017. The present edition promises a lot of fun and adrenaline to the seasoned motorsport lovers with a record breaking participation from around 200 participants. The participants have been categorized into four categories- XTreme, NDure, XPlore and Moto.
Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm: The most anticipated motorsport has arrived!
The rally will cover a total of 2300 Km within a span of 6 days navigating through the challenging terrains of Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur (as the concluding point).
The first leg of the rally started from Hanumangarh, Rajve Palace Hotel and by the end of day 2, the riders have covered 255km (transportation + 3 Special Stages) in the outskirts of hanumangarh, before they headed towards Bikaner for leg 2. The most fascinating part is the participation of veterans like Suresh Rana, who has already won the Maruti Suzuki Raid De Himalaya 10 times, and will be defending his title against the seasoned players like Sandeep Sharma, Bani Yadav, and Amanpreet in the X-treme category. The heat of competition is even more fierce than the grueling obstacles of the rally itself. If the obstacles are pushing the riders and their machines to their limits, the competition is relishing the experience even more.

Even the famous night leg of 150 km around Jaisalmer is making its 3rd appearance in this edition, and will test the mettle of the riders. The participation of Karthik Maruthi (the winner of the 2016 National Super League TSD Rally Championship), who will be driving a Vitara Brezza, will further heat up the competition.
In the moto category, all eyes will be on the last year winner, CS Santosh, who after participating and proving his mettle in the extremely dangerous Dakar rally, is all set to defend his title with 40 other riders.
