Argentinian Rodolfo Zapata has been hired to take over Gaborone United in the Botswana Premier League.
“I’m honored that the club chose me to take on the challenge of turning things around and helping the GU fulfill their potential on the field”, said Zapata
Gaborone United are enduring a miserable run in the league where they are placed seventh, 17 points off the pace. For him this is just an opportunity to showcase after 3 years out of Africa.
Coach Rolo Zapata enhanced his reputation as a coach who espouses a passing game with a strong emphasis on attack when he steered MP Black Aces in South Africa.
Zapata cut short a stay in the US, where he was delivering a coaching clinics to the USA Youth Soccer Association, and flew to Botswana on Friday night to rubber stamp his return to Africa.
