A vast majority of Australians consider this MCG as the home of Australian sport. To value the importance of this heritage ground, Australian government has included it in the National Heritage List in December, 2005. This mighty “G” or “The G” hosts some major national and international events on cricket, football, Olympics and rugby. Rugby union matches take place here every year.
Reaching here is very easy. You will have multiple options to choose from. You can reach their by train, tram, bus, and taxi or cab. To reach there by train, you need to get down at Jolimont station. It is only a five minute walk to reach north point of the ground through Yarra Park. If you like to reach to the south eastern side of “The G”, you can get down Richmond station. There are three tram routes helping you get an access to the MCG. All buses taking the bus route 246 is going just beside the ground.
