The former Barca and Real star Luis Figo launched his presidential manifesto on Thursday at the Wembley Stadium. The most interesting proposal given in his manifesto was to increase the number of teams playing in the final World Cup event. According to his plan, 48 teams will be participating in the final gala event and the tournament will be held in two continents from where it can be relocated to the host country for the latter stages. As per Figo, in one way this will allow more teams to take part in the biggest football competition of the globe making the competition more fierce and interesting, and will also give a significant leap in the revenues generated by FIFA throughout the competition.
