A few months back the legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar was hugely successful to begin his second inning of life as a writer. Yes his autobiography “Playing It My Way” not only excelled as a book, but also sold in millions to create a record in the literary world. The master blaster broke many records just within few days of its launch.
The 41-year-old veteran batsman is now all set to take Bollywood by storm with his latest film which is expected to release shortly. Sachin will act in his own biopic to release on thousands of screens all across the globe. Fans are also impatiently waiting to see the God of Cricket on screens. More than a year has already passed since the legendary batsman took retirement from all forms of cricket.
Undoubtedly, many cricketers in the past have entered into the world of acting, but could not make a fortune here. For instance Ajay Jadeja starred in Khel but the movie didn’t do well at the box-office. Similarly Vinod Kambli has also participated in many shows on small screens, but his luck didn’t support him at all. Salil Ankola has also failed to make any impact in the realm of acting. Hence it is of no doubt that acting is a different ball game altogether.
Media reports have stated that the Mumbai based company, 200 Not Out has already started the project and it is slated to release shortly. The film is being directed by the award-winning director James Erskine. The untitled movie will focus on the glorious cricket career of master blaster on the field for the last 25 years. The film will showcase many unknown aspects of the life and times of the veteran batsman. The name of the film has not yet been finalized, but the duration of the movie will be around two hours for sure.
The legendary cricketer has scored his hundredth ton a couple of years back during the Asia Cup in Dhaka in 2012. Also the batsman has scored a world record of 51 test 100s and more than 15000 runs in his astonishing test career. When it comes to ODIs the master blaster topped the list as the leading century maker (49) and also the highest run scorer (18426) as well.
The veteran batsman is meanwhile enjoying some quality time with his family and friends. He has recently visited Mussorie (Uttarakhand) during the New-Year holiday. Fans are hopeful that the film becomes the biggest blockbuster of all time irrespective of the fact that most of the cricket based films remained unsuccessful until now. Albeit Sachin is the God of Cricket and fans are certain that this time also the master will create a world record as well.
