Mumbai, 11 September 2014: The Kings are getting ready to battle it out for the Champions League Twenty20 2014. A training camp has been organized for the KXIP team starting September 12, 2014 at the PCA Stadium, Mohali.
Players attending the camp include George Bailey, Virender Sehwag, Manan Vohra, Wriddhiman Saha, David Miller, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Johnson, Akshar Patel, Rishi Dhawan, Karanveer Singh, Thisara Perera, Laxmipathy Balaji, Parvinder Awana, Anureet Singh and Mandeep Singh along with Sanjay Bangar, coach KXIP, Joe Dawes, bowling coach and R. Sridhar, fielding coach.
Commenting on the occasion, Fraser Castellino, COO, Kings XI Punjab, said, “This is the first time we are competing in the Champions League and are absolutely thrilled to be a part of it. The team along with the coaching staff share great camaraderie and this camp aims at reinforcing that spirit and enthusiasm they showcased during the IPL Season 7. Kings XI Punjab have arguably enjoyed their best season yet this year and have earned the right to be called a serious contender for the Champions League T20 2014. I am hopeful of another great performance from the team and winning the league!”

The team will be playing four matches at their home ground – PCA Stadium on 18, 20, 26 and 28 September, 2014.
