It’s January finally and the winter transfer window is open in full swing. The soccer fans and communities are all abuzz with crazy rumours with big names all up for grabs.
Third day into the transfer window and we have already seen a number of big transfers with Newcastle striker Demba Ba completing his move to Chelsea for £7 million.
Joe Cole has also made a return to West Ham United with Liverpool agreeing to pay a £3 million pay-off to the English midfielder.
AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato is all set to move to Brazilian Club Corinthians after a fee has been agreed upon by the clubs.
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has confirmed a move to Chelsea in a £12 million transfer.
Arsenal star Theo Walcott has all but confirmed to sign a new deal at the Emirates.
Besides this, Blackburn Rovers have permanently signed Norway striker Joshua King from Manchester United after a successful loan spell. Also, Israeli international Yossi Benayoun has returned to Chelsea after completing his loan at West Ham.
Amidst all these transfers, there were a lot of rather bizarre whispers that kept the fans guessing. Most prominent of these has been the possible move of Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea to Spanish giants Real Madrid for £22 million.
Reports also suggest that Spurs are set to sell their star Gareth Bale to Real Madrid. They are also the latest club to show interest in Barcelona striker David Villa after Arsenal and Chelsea.
Manchester United has reportedly shown interest in signing German midfielder Mesut Ozil from Madrid.
Inter Milan has joined the race to sign Chelsea reject Frank Lampard who is prepared to exit Stamford Bridge.
Swansea striker Michu has also reportedly attracted interest from Zenit St. Petersburg and Russian Club Anzhi Makhachkala.
Fernando Llorente a reported target of Manchester City and Tottenham is rumoured to be in contract talks with Italian Club Juventus for a free transfer from Athletic Bilbao.
Manchester City has also been linked to Napoli striker Edinson Cavani.
PSV Eindhoven is hopeful of getting Arsenal forward Andrey Arshavin on a loan.
West Ham United has been joined by French Club Lille to show interest in signing Moroccan striker Marouane Chamakh from Arsenal.
