Bangalore, November 26, 2012: South United Football Club (SUFC), operated by Lokko Sports Pvt. Ltd (India) is launching soccer schools across Bangalore for children and adults. There are various batches for children in the Under-8, Under-11 and Under-18 categories, as well as soccer for adults.
To make it convenient for soccer enthusiasts these workshops are being held at The Stadium Arena, Hebbal; The Amaatra Academy, Sarjapur and the St. Josephs Indian High School on Vittal Mallya Road. The soccer workshops are aimed at promoting the sport of football and provide quality training to children who are talented and are interested in the sport.

“As we continue our growth as a club we take another step forward through the launch of these Soccer Schools. The aim is to garner sustainability for the club, encourage growth of the sport, scout and develop talent but most importantly getting the kids out there with good coaches, good training and having FUN!” said Mr. Lokknath R Char, Founder & CEO – Lokko Sports India Pvt. Ltd.
Mr. Raman Vijayan, Head Coach – SUFC, said, “It’s a wonderful opportunity for the young kids. We really want to take Indian Football to the next level with our modern training programmes. South United will be the biggest platform for these young kids to become the best professional players. We want to see these kids playing in international level in future years.”
South United FC also won the Kedari Redekar Cup, beating Pune FC 2-2(8-7) in the finals. Jayantraj Banshi was named best defender and Manivannan was named best midfielder while Amoes walked away with the Man of the Series title. The tournament was held from 16th to 20th November at Gadhinglaj, Kolhapur – Maharashtra.
