The 2012-13 season so far has turned out to be a disappointment for AC Milan, but the one thing they can be happy about their season so far has been the performance of 19 year old Stephen El Shaarawy. At the age of 19 he is already an Italian International and has already scored for the national team. His best moment though has so far come in the black and red stripes of Milan. Nick named ”The Pharaoh” the youngster has saved the Milan side from embarrassment one many occasions already this season.
With his goal scoring abilities already catching the eyes of other big clubs Milan will be hoping that they can keep the promising young star at the San Siro and a Champions League spot will be a necessity for the same.
El Shaarawy believes Allegri’s faith in him has been the key to his success so far this season and the departure of key players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cassano opened up a spot for him in the starting line up.
Milan have two other strikers in their ranks Brazilians Pato and Robinho, but their form have not been on the upside and that helped the Italian break the first team. Milan had signed him last season. He could not make much appearances for them because of the competition he had then. He had even come on as a substitute against Barcelona in the Champions League.
El Shaarawy has already notched up 10 goals in 14 league matches for Milan and scored 2 in 5 Champions League matches. His first goal in the UEFA Champions League was against Zenit.
