Mumbai: Cricket India Academy has signed a franchise agreement as coaching partner with Pramanik Panthers, owned by Pramanik Retail Pvt Ltd for the Vagad Premier League 2012 tournament. The tournament will be held at Kalina ground in Mumbai from January to March 2012.
Through the partnership, Cricket India Academy will provide coaching, planning and fitness expertise to assist the Panthers to make an impact in their very first year. Experienced coach Mr Sandesh Kawle, Assistant Coach to the Air India Cricket Team, has been appointed as the Head Coach and will be responsible for the on-ground performance of the team while Kohinoor Hospital will provide fitness and physiotherapy support.
The Vagad Premier League organized by Vagad Kala Kendra is a prestigious community tournament which has been held at Kalina for the past three years. The 2012 edition will be expanded to 10 teams and Pramanik Panthers will be one of them.

Cricket India Academy’s expertise in program planning and coaching will help us to provide a quality based and enjoyable training program for my team’s first year.”

The Pramanik Panthers have already commenced their pre-season training program with a fitness focus before outdoor skill development sessions commence this month. Keeping in mind the medical support required, the enterprise has drawn upon the expertise of Kohinoor Hospital to keep a check on the physical fitness and physiotherapy required for the players.
