Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho said that he is looking for another striker to add to the already impressive lineup at Real. Despite having a very strong lineup Real has failed to land any major trophies other than the Copa del Ray last season. With bitter rivals Barcelona proving to be the dominant force in Spanish and also European football Real management has returned to the drawing board to find proper personnel.
Real has already signed Nuri Sahin from Dortmund, Hamit Altintop from Bayern, Fabio Coentrao from Benfica, Jose Maria Callejon from Espanyol and Raphael Varane from Lens to shake things up at Santiago Bernabeu. Real not only have Gonzalo Higuain, Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo, Angel Di Maria for attacking duties they also have some exciting prospects in their youth and B teams. Ronaldo got the highest goal scorer award last season by scoring record breaking 53 goals in all competitions, which is also a club record. But still Mourinho thinks that his strike force needs to be improved to match the standards of Barcelona and reclaim their glory days. Mourinho said in his interview:
“We never want to side-track from building a team for years to come that has large room for improvement and progress. We signed men we thought were important to improve on a squad that was already very good – this squad has ten years ahead of it.”
“I, like everyone else, believe we need another striker,”
So who would Real Madrid be looking to sign:
Carlos Tevez – The Man City striker has told them that he wants to leave the club for personal reasons. This is the optimum opportunity for Madrid to sign the Argentine. Tevez can be tempted to come to Real because his national team teammates Higuain and Di Maria will also be there. Tevez is a very hard working player and his energy and drive is what Madrid needs.
Sergio Aguero – Another Argentine who is attracting much attention with numerous top clubs wanting his service. Aguero plays for city rivals Atletico Madrid and even if Aguero wants to leave they won’t be willing to sell their prized asset to their closest rivals cheaply.
Neymar – This Brazilian wonder kid is the most sought after youngster now. He has all the skill and talent to become a top player in future. Real have already taken a note of his talents and made a bid for this dynamic youngster. With Brazil legend Pele also urging Neymar to join Ream Madrid this move is quite likely to happen.
Emmanuel Adebayor – Adebayor was loaned to Real last season and he was preferred over Benzema. With Man City showing no interest to keep the player Real could look to snap him cheaply. Adebayor’s physical presence is an added plus for Real as they lack a Target man.
