The Dutch and Arsenal striker, Robin Van Persie has launched an attack against the Spaniards and their League rivals Chelsea. The striker has expressed his dismay against them following their unceasing referee pressure and stated that he fails to understand such behaviour.
The Spaniards, especially when playing for Barcelona has been criticized on numerous occasions following their pressuring of the referee, the most famous incident of the same happened against their rivals, Real Madrid in the Champions League Semi-Finals encounter. They are severely criticized by many for such a negative tactics. Van Persie too joined the parade to take a dig at Barcelona following his club’s Champions League defeat in the round of 16 stages.
He stated “They [Spain players] always go up to referees in an attempt to get an opponent booked. They are trying to screw colleagues! That kind of behaviour really annoys me.”
“People who are watching the game on television and fans really do not want to see these kinds of things. If you want to witness a lot of complaints, you should just go the bakery or something. There are always people nagging there as well.”
Van Persie did not stop here. After launching an attack on the Spain Players, he turned his attention to Chelsea and accused them of ‘bitching’ around.
He further added “Chelsea players are always bitching against the referees. I really cannot understand that. Just shut the f*** up and focus on playing football.”
The striker’s outburst must be due to the frustrating season following his form and his club performance, where the Gunners finished 4th in the League, where once, they were pretty much in contention for the League Title. However, Van Persie did say some things which might create another drama. But such things are part and parcel of the game and it keeps going on.
