The Spurs striker believes that it would take a crazy amount for the clubs to grab his team-mates Luka Modric and Gareth Bale, away from the White Hart Lane. The England International also insisted that he would want to see their current club manager, Harry Redknapp to continue his services with Spurs in coming years.
After the 2010-2011 season got over, the transfer window opened up and as usual; the speculations, rumours, reports etc, started flourishing which resulted in some breaking news each and every day. As soon the season got over, speculation started to build up on Tottenham stars, Luka Modric and Gareth Bale over their possible move to major European clubs this summer.
Modric has been linked with a possible summer move to the most successful club in the history of England and the 19 times Premier League Champions, Manchester United. Also, speculation about Bale’s future at the club has also been in news for quite a long time, as European Giants Inter Milan and AC Milan are behind the Wales International after his heroic performance in the Champions League this season.
Despite the doubts wandering about the future of the two, Crouch is pretty much confident that the duo will surely remain at the White Hart Lane next season. Crouch stated “Gareth and Luka are great lads to be honest and I know that they are happy where they are.”
“Unless someone comes in with crazy money I can see them being there next season.”
Redknapp’s side took everyone by surprise by reaching the Quarter-Finals stages of the Champions League, eventually losing to Real Madrid. However, the only disappointment for them would be the failure to qualify for a Champions League spot this season. They have to settle for the Europa League this season, but Crouch is confident that his side has it to make it to the top next season.
He said “We’ve proved that we’re a top side; we just missed out on the Champions League this year, hopefully we will get back in it again and have a good run.”
“I think it will be the toughest Premier League for a long time to be honest, we’ve got to make sure we get in the top four spot and in my opinion there’s no limit to what we can achieve, why can’t we aim for the title.”
Also, according to reports, Harry Redknapp is linked with the offer to manage the England side, as Capello will step down this summer; but Crouch wants Redknapp to stay at the White Hart Lane.
He further added “Harry has done a fantastic job at Tottenham.”I’ve worked for him a few times now and he’s always got the best out of me.
“Whatever job he decides to do is up to him but I want him to stay at Tottenham.”
