Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-Sung believes he doesn’t have much time left there and will consider a move to another club.
Park’s contract expires at the end the next season and he has recently been linked with a move to the La Liga with Sevilla and Atletico interested in his services.
Park became the first Asian player to play for a major EPL team when he joined the Red Devils in 2005 from Dutch team PSV Eindhoven for a cut-throat price of 4 million pounds.
Park, who quit international football in 2011 following the Asian Cup to extend his club career, says he is in no hurry to leave Old Trafford, but would like to play for another club before he retires (Malaga or some cash rich team, maybe?).
“I won’t be able to show my best after one or two years. I don’t know how long I can stay at Manchester,” Park is quoted as saying in the Daily Mirror. “I never thought about retirement but it’s obvious that I don’t have much time left as a player.” He also added that “According to circumstances, I might leave Manchester United and retire in another team.”
Park had an excellent first half in the past season, scoring winning goals and setting up important ones, but the latter half was spoiled by injuries.
