Tickets are on complete watch, the stadiums, artists, volunteers and the Team Great Britain [Team GB] are all getting ready to make the event a great success. So what is going on at the GB….?
Are the stadiums set? Is the team functioning right? Are the men at work doing things right? How are the products hitting the market? Do people really like the Olympics Goodies?… too many things gearing up in the head and the head bursts and here we land at the Great Britain.
After the Royal Wedding, the gala at this place is never going to end, the work is at full swing with the “Olympic Torch” which was unveiled lately. The Chairman Lord Coe held the triangular torch with a great deal of history in it. Every design is a figment of reality, every fragment of future is a function of the past – in the same way this will be the third time for London to host this mammoth sport event – The Olympics. The torch is triangular in shape marking the three-times hosting of this event, the walls with the holes. The torch contains 8000 holes, every single orifice for every single torch bearer. 8000 athletes will be bearing this triangular-wonder all over the globe.
How do we propose to recycle the 11000 tons of waste that the city produces daily?
After the torch, we move to the “bins”… bins? Do they really matter? Yeah, Coca-Cola is sponsoring bins as a part of their corporate commitment. A very novel step, in the name of Olympics, the London is getting cleaner and panoramic. Coca-Cola was appalled from the survey inference that, majority of the London inhabitants complain for the lack of recycle bins and appropriate disposal facility, so from the think-tank team of Coca-Cola, was born the “bins”.
From the torch, to the bin and now to the essence of sustenance! The sports giant, Adidas will be sponsoring 100% recyclable plastic bottles for the usage at the village. It is just not confines to the bottles; beyond that the uniforms for the volunteers are also made of recyclable materials, the buttons, and polyester clothing will be made from recyclable matter. Adidas has taken this and will be making uniforms for the village and the volunteers.
