It has been so far a fantastic 3 days of jam packed cricketing action which has now become a rarity in test cricket. But the fighting spirit of down trodden West Indies and an emerging second string Indian team at international level just gives a Caribbean flavor to the sport. All the 3 days bowlers have held the upper hand with at least 10 wickets falling at the end of day’s play. The pitch looks good and is suiting well for both spinners and seamers. The batsmen have to scale up their concentration levels if at all to stand a chance to manage even a mere 25. Even though it has produced good cricket so far, a dejected West Indies coach Gibson thinks otherwise and hits out stating the pitch is favoring the visitors. West Indies have not been able to lift up their batting in the last few years and the pitch is definitely not to be blamed. Even the Indians faltered the wall stood tall to guide the team to a challenging total. But he even had his luck though when Sammy put down a sitter when he was on 6 of the bowling of Rampaul.

Now West Indies are placed at 131/3 with Chanderpaul and Bravo at the crease. Barath’s counterattacking cricket proved vital as that put the thinking caps on Dhoni every now and again. But his intent to go with an aggressive field set paid off as he got the top 3 with good length balls from his opening bowlers. Obviously the West Indies cannot afford to attack because the morning pitch will assist more to the seamers making life difficult for the batsmen. Chanderpaul is an experienced campaigner and would want to showcase his batting just like Dravid and that could very well seal the game for his team. But the most pivotal aspect being here for them is he needs strong assistance from the other end. Even a 50 run partnership could very well do but they must not fall like a pack of domino. As far as Indians are concerned, any sitter or drop chances or even half chances could prove lethal and could cost the game. Yes, the 4th day will decide the fate of both teams and could very well go down the wire.
