Samuel Eto’o, currently with dethroned Champions of Europe Inter Milan, has said that he is considering a move away from the Milanese outfit.
Inter had a hugely successful season after Eto’o moved from Barcelona to Inter as part of a deal which saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic go the other way, winning a treble, but this season has been disappointing when compared to their high standards last year, winning just the Coppa Italia.
Eto’o has been in great form for the “Nerazzurri”, scoring consistently in his two years at the club. After scoring twice in the final of the Coppa Italia victory over Palermo, Eto’o stated he had no desire to leave Inter. But apparently, he is having second thoughts.
“I am currently considering my options,” he told an Italian newspaper. “I have one month to decide as to whether I want to stay put or choose to move to the Premier League.”
“I am now 30-years-old and it is very important for me to think about my future before I sign what could be my last contract. I have already shown that I have what it takes to play in Italy and I now have the idea of proving myself in England.”
With Sneijder also appearing uncommitted about his future at Inter, the blue half of Milan would be in shambles if two of their most consistent players desert the club. Inter President Massimo Moratti will go to great troubles and make sure that his two star players (although both accused of being egotistical, they nevertheless form the core of the current Inter team) are convinced to stay on.
