Arsenal Boss, Arsene Wenger has insisted that the club will do every single thing to keep the Frenchman at the Emirates and further speaks about the future of Cesc Fabregas at the club.
Arsene Wenger has revealed that the club is doing all that is possible to keep Samir Nasri at Arsenal. For quite a long time now, Nasri is speculated with a move out of the Emirates this summer. Nasri has a one-year contract remaining with his current employers and is learnt to be approached by several clubs, with Manchester United standing foremost in the queue.
Despite all the reports and speculation regarding the Frenchman’s future, Wenger insisted that it would be indeed a very difficult task for others to grab the services of the midfielder next season. Wenger also believes that the Emirates Stadium is the best place for the midfielder to grow and mature as a player, having developed into a world-class performer since his arrival at the Emirates in 2008 from Marseille.
Wenger stated “We will do everything to keep Nasri at the club. My wish is that he stays here.”
“If he looks back he can see that he’s come quite a long way with us, and I think there is still a bit to do.
“It’s the club that makes the player’s career.”
Also, Arsenal skipper, Cesc Fabregas is continually linked to the Spanish Catalans, Barcelona. The ever-running link up of Fabregas-Barcelona does not seem to fade away. The reports of Fabregas returning to his home where he played his football at a youth academy, has resurfaced again.
According to reports, the deal could occur soon, but Wenger is adamant that the Spain International is here to stay at the Emirates. Wenger believes that if the club can hold on to their stars this summer, then it would become much easier and will give Arsenal a strong boost to challenge for the Title again.
Arsene Wenger further added “I will be pretty clear about this. For me, Fabregas is with Arsenal for a long time and he will stay with Arsenal.”
“It sometimes happens that the rumour can make the transfer.
“Next year will see the introduction of the financial fair play system, which will limit the big transfers.
“I think this is the last year that the summer will be hot – very hot.”
It is good to see Arsene Wenger trying so hard to keep the players at the club. But these consequences are created within. He himself is to blame somewhere or at the other. Not winning silverware since 2002, going trophy-less year after year will leave any player disgusted. Arsenal are fighting it hard to cope with the players link-ups, speculations etc. The frustration of not winning has resulted in players leaving the club; Bendtner among them and also Denilson who has stated his desire to move away. However, this is football and it tends to happen. If Wenger desires to keep the top players at the Emirates, then atleast a single trophy is needed to regain the confidence of the players in the club next season.
