The WWE pay-per-view caravan heads into the Key Arena at Seattle, this Sunday for Over the Limit. There are old rivalries and some new ones, due to the recent draft lottery. Here’s how the match card is stacked for Over the Limit
WWE Championship: John Cena Vs The Miz
John Cena takes on The Miz in an ‘I Quit’ match, a match in which anything goes, and no roles. The only way to win the match is to make your opponent say the words ‘I Quit’. John Cena has the edge as he is never known to say those words, while Miz could have something up his sleeve. Cena also has the momentum as he defeated Jack Swagger in a No Holds Barred match this past week on Raw.
World Heavyweight Championship: Randy Orton Vs Christian
Christian waited for 17 years to get his hands on the World Heavyweight title , but his reign lasted only 5 days, as he lost to the Viper Randy Orton. Now, Christian gets his rematch for the World title and will hope to get it back from Randy. This one is hard to call as both men go into the match with equal momentum
Intercontinental Championship: Wade Barett Vs Ezekiel Jackson
Ezekiel Jackson was excommunicated from The Corre, a couple of weeks ago on Smackdown. He got roughed up again last week, when he came to the aid of Kane and got outnumbered again 3 to 1 by the members of the Corre. The momentum is with Barett in this one, but one can never count the physical specimen Jackson out. I expect the Corre to interfere in this one, leading to Barett’s disqualification
World Tag Team Championships: Kane/Big Show Vs The Nexus
CM Punk and the Nexus had a field day at the office, this past week on Raw and carry all the momentum going into this match up. However, the powerful monsters Kane and Big Show will be favourites, even though there is bound to be interference from the members of the Nexus. I expect the champions to retain their titles.
R-Truth Vs Rey Mysterio
This match came about after the draft lottery. Twice R-Truth has Mysterio from behind, after Rey had a gruelling match. The new found ruthlessness from R-Truth has helped him take all the momentum going into their clash at Over the Limit
Jerry Lawler Vs Micheal Cole
The Cole-Lawler saga continues with a Kiss My Foot match. This is hopefully the last match of their long drawn out feud. The added stipulation is that if Cole wins, then Lawler will not only give him his Hall of Fame ring, but will personally induct him into WWE’s Hall of Fame. The momentum is with the King now that Jack Swagger is no longer in Cole’s corner.
Whatever the outcome, it will be no doubt an entertaining night of action.
