Manchester United captain and defender Nemanja Vidic has insisted that they will take on Blackpool seriously.
With the League Title already secured, it has been hinted that United will rest most of the 1st team players ahead of their Champions League Finale against the Spanish Giants, Barcelona.
United sealed their 19th League title, settling for a 1-1 draw against Blackburn. However, Vidic has assured that they will go out strong against the relegated threatened side Blackpool. He insisted that United will treat the game professional and will look to win the game so as not to hand the Seasiders an undue advantage against their fellow strugglers.
The Serbian International stated “We have to work hard, we have to prepare for the next game.”
“Barcelona I have to say is the most important game for us, but Blackpool we want to play well, we want to play the best we can and we always expect to win games and we will try to do that”
Vidic is indeed happy after clinching the League Title for a record 19th time but insisted that United will not sit on their laurels and will always be hungry for more and more success. He also insisted that there is a lot to come and will always strive for more success and glory.
He further added “ I think just to win the title it means a lot especially after last year when we didn’t win the league when we lost by just one point”.
“It is important [to win a 19th title], but I don’t think 19 will the last one it will be many more I hope.”
“It’s important we have won the most leagues in this country, but it is not something we will stop and be happy with.”
The Red Devils will lift the Title for a record 19th time, when they face Blackpool and would love to win their final game. Other relegated threatened sides would be anxious and praying for United’s win to stand a chance in the next season.
Apart from the League Title, United are eying their 3rd Champions League Title, when they face Barcelona in the Finale.
