Few days back everybody was blaming the owners, captain & team management for the poor run of Delhi Daredevils in the IPL. It was necessary for the Delhi Daredevils captain Virender Sehwag to lead from the front to win or at least motivate his players to play cricket for winning the match.
In the match against the Kochi Tuskers, it seemed that Viru took the initiative and lead his team bravely. It was very essential on Sehwag’s side to put a sugar cube in Critics mouth after he was blamed for series of losses.
In the match against the Kochi Tuskers, Delhi side was again on the back foot as promising David Warner got bowled due to uneven bounce in the early overs. The Delhi batting line-up was largely dependent on their two openers, but again one of their openers disappointed their fans.
Not repeating the same mistake of getting out after having a start, Viru scored 80 runs in just 47 balls, which stood as the back bone of Delhi’s innings.
Seeing their captain playing a champions innings definitely inspired the bowlers to bowl well. The result was Delhi Daredevils won the match by 38 runs, which is huge victory in a T20 format.
That’s what a motivation can bring in a sports player. Now it’s important for the Delhi Daredevils to be consistent and start taking up the responsibility rather than dependent on two players.
