Famous Bollywood and political personalities were seen at Mohali to cheer along with the aam janta for the Indian brigade. They were seen shouting, howling and cheering for the men in blue. The celebrities rejoiced and were tweeting post India’s wonderful victory. The Bollywood and Cricket have a great connection. They love encouraging, supporting and rejoicing in India’s triumphs.
Now, with the finals in the city of Bollywood – Mumbai, we should have witnessed renowned celebrities gracing presence at the Wankhede Stadium.
But, unfortunately Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan are the only two big names who will be making it at the stadium. The Bollywood stars are crazy cricket fans, but, shooting schedules keeps most of them busy. Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Bipasha Basu are the ones in this list.
Salman Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhishek Bachan will watch the game with their friends on TV at home.
“I plan to watch the final from home. But I might also land up at the Wankhede Stadium if I am in the mood,” said Salman Khan who is not much of a cricket freak, but, cricket frenzy could turn him on to make it at the stadium.
Farhan Akhtar also commented on similar lines, “It will be a good idea to watch the match from the comfort of my home. I will surely have a few friends come over and we will enjoy together,” he said.
Aamir attended the semi-finals at Mohali. And, now he has requested his present film director Reema Kagti to give him a weekly off. He is also a bit superstitious folks.
“Aamir plans to wear the same clothes that he wore for the semi-finals as he is superstitious about these things while watching cricket!,”Aamir’s publicist said.
Shahrukh is an avid cricket fan. We all know his love for cricket as we spot him at various big occasions cheering for India. He is also the owner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Albeit, he stayed at home for the semi-final clash, missing the match in Mumbai is out of question for him! He will head to the stadium with his children – Aryan, 14, and Suhana, 11.
Soon after India’s victory over Pakistan in the semifinal at Mohali, Shahrukh said, “We will win the final also. I have bought an extra t-shirt for that… so I have to go there and watch the finals Inshallah! The kids want to go and see.”
