Tottenham Hotspur, the team which astonished every one this season, by qualifying for the UEFA Champions League at the end of the last season. The Tottenham fans could not ask for anything better. Tottenham showcased some outstanding football this season, both in EPL and Champions League. Though, the Team is fighting for to book a place in this year CL Cup, it has already won millions of hearts all over.

A worth watching encounter against Arsenal, ended in a 3-3 draw, leaving Redknapp boy’s in the 5th position, 2 points behind City. They next face West Brom. It is an important match for them, if they want to stand any chance for qualifying for the CL tie.

Chairman of the Club, Daniel Levy, has indicated that the club would not spend heavily if the Club fails to finish 4th in the league. However, Redknapp is of the view that, this will be a step backward, when the Team is looking strong and healthy. Redknapp feels the need to strengthen the team and wants the club to spend and sign some biggies. He believes that the boys are in a positive frame of mind and looking good, and can be contenders for the League Cup in the coming years. But he feels, if this has to happen, some big players need to be introduced to the Club which will bring experience and quality to the side.

Redknapp has ruled out the speculations about signing Scott Parker, the West Ham Midfielder. He said “He is a great player but West Ham was asking too much for the Midfielder, considering his age. But Redknapp has not ruled out the news for signing the Chelsea Striker, Didier Drogba. Redknapp admires the Chelsea and Ivory Coast striker, but does not want to talk much about it.  Drogba is still a fantastic player, who knows,” he stated. “He’s a fantastic centre-forward. Power, strength, he has got everything and he scores goals as well. “He is currently a Chelsea player and until they decide otherwise, you cannot speculate about his future” Redknapp stated.

Concerns are building among the club and the fans about the big clubs approaching the stars of the club, if the fail to finish in the top 4. But Redknapp has rejected this statement saying that players will come here anyway. They have seen us playing the Champions League and will see that we want to get there again.

All the fans can do is wait and watch for now. Who knows what is next for them in store. A new big signing may be even Drogba, League cup holders in the next coming seasons or may be a Champions League Crown. The Club and the fans will be waiting for the transfer window to open and hope for the best.
