By the end of world cup 2011, Indian cricket team coach Gary Kristen announced about getting retirement from team India as a Coach. Under his coaching the team had won many titles including ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. And now after him the coach position for team India is empty and Mr. Shashank Manohar, the president of the BCCI said that the board is in no hurry to appoint a new coach. In his words, “We are still in the process of doing so. There’s no hurry as the team is leaving for the West Indies only on June 1.”
There were rumors that India Wants Andy Flower as Cricket Team Coach. The current England cricket coach Andy Flower is among the few who have been reportedly shortlisted by the BCCI for the India job left vacant by Gary Kirsten, prompting a worried ECB to offer the Zimbabwean a new three-year deal. But the ECB, which is determined to hold on to Flower after he guided England to the Ashes and World Twenty20 triumphs, is doing all it can to prevent the former wicketkeeper from being lured by India. And it was Stephen Fleming who has been targeted in the series of Andy flower.
Stephen Flemming is now currently the official coach for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) one of the IPL teams. It was stated that, “It’s an excellent experience contributing and working with the team CSK in IPL by Flemming and added to that he is not completely ready by himself as being an full time coach for the team India and Flemming will take a decision regarding this after rigorous analysis. And these sources states that there may be possibilities for appointment of Flemming as the new coach, but BCCI is showing no hurry in the selection of new coach for the team India.
