Delhi batting failed once again, after they were given the target of 169 runs on a slower wicket of Kotla by the Deccan Chargers.
After a shocker of a win against the Pune Warriors India, momentum was on Delhi side and they were chasing too, which could have not created any pressure, as they had chased a bigger total then 169 against the Pune Warriors India.
But things went terribly wrong for Delhi; they failed to create a good opening partnership which was the root cause of the victory against the Pune side.
Promoted Naman Ojha was again not able to spend more time of wicket. Last match unsung hero Aaron Finch too marched out his way back to dressing room very early.
Venu Gopal Rao who was the only player, who was in form and fighting for his team, scored only 21 runs. He got out due to increasing pressure.
The things could have gone completely different if instead of Naman Ohja, Venu Gopal Roa was promoted who handles the situation well and can step on the gas when required.
Thus the wicket of David Warner was the turning point of the match. After his wicket it seemed all over for the Daredevils.
The lower order batsmen somehow fought their way back but it was not enough to gain them two points.
Delhi bowled well, although they don’t have a quality spinner, but their batting is not clicking on right time although they have two most boom boom players of the world.
