The third seed Serb Novak Djokovic defeated Roger Federer in the semi finals of the BNP Paribas Open with the score of 6-3, 3-6 and 6-2.
The Serb has done it for the 3rd time this year as he defeated Federer in the finals of Dubai Open, in the Australian Open and now at Indian Wells.
After this win on Federer, Djokovic will become the World number 2 taking the ranking from Federer. Djokovic has been in superb form when he plays Federer and he has proved it this year also.
The Serb won the first set 6-3 and was in clear control of the match before losing on his serve. After a beautiful display in the first set he lost the second set 3-6.
Federer looked more confident as he pocketed the second set and played on. But the Serb was not in a mood to lose as he broke Federer and won the third set 6-2 and reached the finals.
Now Djokovic will face Nadal in the final who defeated Juan Martin Del Potro in the semis.
Djokovic will look forward to continue his winning form against Nadal and to win back to back titles after he won the Dubai Open.
