Pals, do not forget to have an eye on these players:
- Australians, should I even mention them at this place? The game-makers in the last three versions of the WC. Ponting, has now become a old hand. If Aussies win this year’s WC, this will the fourth title for Ricky. The player who had featured in the four-time winning matches.
- Sachin, the God! If Ricky had featured thrice excluding this year’s, our Indian Little Man, will be playing his sixth WC event this 2011. It will be Sachin, after the Pakistani player, Javed Miandad who had featured in six WC games. Will the home-grounds thwart or bolster the team? Wait for it.
- The miraculous Muralitharan. The Sri Lanka Captain, Kumara Sangakkara will be bidding a fabulous farewell to the ball-spinning maestro Muttiah, by winning the WC 2011. The spinner deserves an auriferous goodbye!
- Bangladesh – the most unpredictable team! The team has never reached the final stages of the WC in any of the seasons. However they had defeated the PAK and IND teams by knocking them off from the super-eight. The WC was remembered by the demise of the Pakistan Coach and the barefaced Indians returning home. This team has to be handles with great care and focus!
- The fielders, the match-turners. Even while the willows had put up a poor show, the salvation men from the fielding squad can match up the losses. Be it Jayawardene or Yuvraj, Clarke or Collingwood, Graeme Smith or Afridi they can make the game go topsy-turvy with their spins.
- Pakistan team seems to be in form, Aware! Afridi, Razzaq, Akhtar with fielding while Younis Khan and Misbah ul Haq with batting balance, the team looks superficially stable. Umar Akmal and Riaz as a part of the young, fresh-blood into the team.
Zero it down.
Fourteen teams, two-hundred players to take part, who is likely to stand, who will go back with shame are to be answered soon.
