Well as the days are few for start of the huge tournament of World Cup, every team participating in it, would have only one question in their mind that, What’s going to be their final team 11 combination? Indian skipper M. S. Dhoni would be little more confused as during the first warm up game many players showed good touch especially in the bowling department. Especially the performance of the leg spinner Piyush Chawla was commanding as he took four crucial wickets, when the Aussies were looking in good rhythm. R Ashwin was good enough to restrict the Australians among runs but surely India needs wicket taker bowlers.
The very big concern for skipper would be the pace attack as Sreesanth and Nehra were not looking impressive at all and India can’t rely always on spinners. Even Munaf was out of rhythm and touch and needs to improve a lot. Zaheer Khan would be certainly the spearhead of the team. Harbhajan Singh again would lead the spin attack and it would either Piyush or Ashwin that will accompany him. Sachin and Sehwag will be the opening partners for India as usual with Gautam coming at No. 3. The other batsmen that will follow most probably are Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, M. S. Dhoni, and Yusuf Pathan. Yuvraj Singh has not shown any consistency in his batting so it would not be ideal for me to pick him up and even his fielding has fallen down due to increase of his body weight.
Yusuf would be very key when it comes to the powerplay at the end of the innings. Suresh Raina apart from batting would also be very valuable in fielding.Virat Kohli had a very good past one year. He looks solid when he is batting. Gautam Gambhir is always known for his patience batting and also a very good batsman against the spin attack. But all eyes would be only on one man and that is none other than Sachin Tendulkar. Yes, he is going to be triumph card for India this time as he will be appearing last time in WC.
