Barcelona, Feb 10: After healing from hamstring injury Rafael Nadal will resume his training session. The injury ruined his dream event of Australian Open. The World No. 1 Spaniard confirmed that he is all well and will begin his training session during a presentation for the spring Barcelona clay event, which he bagged for five consecutive years from 2005 to 2009. Nadal was very close to win all four Grand Slam titles, when he was beaten by very good competitor David Ferrer in a quarterfinal upset at the Australian Open.
Nadal also admitted that he had tears after losing that important game as he was inches closer to make another history in the tennis. “I was really disappointed and was crying in the locker room as I really hate to go out of the tournament. From the third game itself I knew that I was having fewer chances to go further. David was having his best time and was terrific in the court and it was really difficult to match his level,” the winner of the prestigious Laureus World Sport Award for 2010 had said on Monday.
But the relief news for Nadal is that he will be back to the court having training at his homeland Mallorca, with plans to be ready to play the Davis Cup for Spain in the first week of March against the Belgium overseas. “I’m feeling better as I’m leaving home to train on the courts again. I will start my training slowly. I want to make sure that I follow a well made plan so there are no setbacks this time,” Nadal said.
