The ICC has decided against selling any of the tickets the semi-finals and finals of the World Cup, as was decided earlier. The decision came after the ICC’s official partner site for tickets www.kyazoonga.com crashed minutes after the selling had begun. Thus the remaining tickets shall be sold by lottery to the various fans around the world by an online lottery system.
Kenya captain Jimmy Kamande was injured during the practice session on his left cheek, which eventually got swollen up and has left Kamande’s mouth numb. Unable to speak, Kamande had to miss the scheduled press conference; however he shall be a part of the match against Pakistan on 23rd.
Australian captain Ricky Ponting reportedly broke a television set with his bat in the dressing room after he was adjudged run out in the match against Zimbabwe on the 21st of February. Gujarat Cricket Association secretary Rajesh Patel said, “It’s true. We have already informed the ICC and the Australian cricket authorities about the incident.” However it was further clarified that the matter would not be taken any further as it has been described as a minor incident.

Meanwhile Bangladesh may consider playing Mohammad Ashraful in their next match against Ireland on the 25th. His inclusion comes after Bangladesh failed to capitalize on the power plays in the previous match against India. Ashraful can also bowl off spinners which might be useful for the team.
