North London rivals – Arsenal and Tottenham are after Barcelona star Bojan Krkic.
After the controversial transfer of Spanish wunderkind Jon Miquel Toral Harper, this spoiled relation between Arsenal and Barcelona. With the Barca club president, Sandro Rosell calling Arsenal pursuit of the player immoral. The Gunners completed the deal a few days back and the player will join the Gunners from next season. Barcelona got a meager sum of 350,000 Euros in return. It looks like Arsenal are not done buying players from Barcelona having set their sights on the shooting star Bojan Krkic, who seems unhappy with his place at the club.
Arsenal are not the only club fighting for the young Catalans signature, their North London neighbours Spurs too are in contention to sign the player having expressed interest in the youngster and look more likelier to get the player if it comes down to the parent club to decide.
El Mundo Deportivo reported claims that both the clubs from North London are interested in signing the player who has been a subject of much debate in the Barcelona first team.
Barcelona recently announced that, Bojan has recently signed a contract with Spanish Champions that would keep him at the club for four more years, until 2015, has appeared 19 times in the Blaugrana shirt 19 times so far but has managed to score only three goals so far, and failing to keep his place in the starting eleven to rising star Pedro.
The star couldn’t make it to the Spain’s world cup winning squad, which emerged victorious, getting another negative on his CV. But the English clubs believe he has the age on his side and all he needs is a move to a new club to reignite his career.
Bojan has found it increasingly difficult to displace Barcelona’s super-efficient attacking trio of David Villa, Lionel Messi and Pedro, with the new signing of Dutch attacked Ibrahim Afellay, chances of making the first team for him have slipped further.
In an interview with Barca TV Bojan admitted that he followed the English League a lot and was a fan:” I like the Premier League a lot.” This was enough to alert both Arsene Wenger and Harry Redknapp who will fight for the youngster’s signature. Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti and Liverpool counterpart Kenny Dalglish are also reported to be interested in the Barcelona rising star.
Serie A duo Juventus and Napoli are also linked with a move for Krkic, though whether Barcelona will listen to offers for him is unclear, it is unlikely though that the Spanish heavyweights will entertain any approach for the player as Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola holds him in high regard and a player for the future.
The only person, who will decide a move happens or not and where it happens, will be Bojan Krkic.
