Cricket World Cup

Many will admit it, many will not agree, to the fact that almost everyone has planned their next month according to the dates of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.

Complete ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Schedule

Marking out the favourite or fun matches to watch and based on importance schedule your own time table to fit the world cup time table.

The schedule has already been made along with the venues and the timings. So how is it possible to decide which matches to watch and which ones to let go? Therefore it is important we make a time table for ourselves so as to get the best of both worlds.

If you are a 10th or 12th standard student then try the following:

  1. Study as hard as you possibly can before the world cup beings so that you can support and watch guilt free.
  2. Conduct match to match observations where if the outcome of the match is obvious then avoid wasting time by watching it anyway.
  3. If you have one of those time shift or recording facilities record and watch later according to a break time or convenience.
  4. Decide before hand if you are going to watch the match or not, giving early and useless breaks wont help anybody, when you will study you will be thinking of the match and when you are watching the match you will be thinking of the studies.
  5. Chart out the really interesting matches and the really boring ones so as to make out a study chart. For example: Ireland Vs. Bangladesh on the 25th of February will be of no importance for you but India Vs. England on the 27th of February will be stupid to miss.
  6. If you are a regular school or college student you will probably be back home before the match begins so buy a jersey and relax.

If you have a full time job then try the following:

  1. Make sure websites that give ball to ball updates are accessible in your work place.
  2. If websites don’t open, mobile updates are available.
  3. Carry headphones for your phone/ radio so that even if you cannot see you can at least hear what’s going on.
  4. Some matches are in the evening so go out with a couple of friends after work to watch on a big screen.
  5. On really crucial matches don’t be concerned almost everyone you work with will probably think of doing the same thing you are and you’ll find out the score somehow.
  6. Record using a device or catch up on the highlights later on.
  7. The final will be on a Saturday so atleast on that day you can watch the entire match without a problem unless you have a six day week in which case a good suggestion would be to call in sick.

After looking at your time table and the cricket world cup schedule you will realize that you can watch/hear every match you want to because of the dividing of matches in group A and Group B.

Who cares about the match schedule when it is ours we have to settle first.

Writing is something I’ve always felt was an outlet to every thought that crosses your mind. I enjoy reading, watching the television and of course, writing. Besides writing my greatest passion is playing the piano. Hope you enjoy what I write!
