Australia’s former pace spearhead Brett Lee has his plans ready with the ICC Cricket World Cup just one month away. He hopes he could return back to the Australian side as spearhead. The injury prone bowler had to miss the entire 2010 and has not played cricket since October 2009.
He also hinted to take up the role of a coach if he could not make it to the Australian side as a bowler. Brett Lee has played 76 tests and 186 ODIs for Australia and has picked up 310 and 324 wickets respectively.
Meanwhile he is recalled by to the Australian squad for the first ODI against England alongside with David Hussey and Shaun Tait. Following the forgettable Ashes Australia had, Australia have taken the lens in search of more dependable and experienced batsmen. The chances of the seamer returning back to side have become brighter.
David Hussey who was believed and branded to be a T20 player and hasn’t played ODIs for Australia since the game against Scotland in August 2009. He has averaged 28.47 in 23 ODIs, the stats that are not completely revealing about the kind of player he is. These men hope they could seal a place in the side by giving their best in the series against the English.
