Dec 12: India’s classic and world’s epic player Sachin Tendulkar’s world record breaking double century at Gwalior against South Africa, has found a place in the Times Magazine in the ‘Top 10 Sports Moments’ of the year. “Certain sports milestones are just unbreakable and unreachable. In cricket, Sachin’s double hundred in the ODIs is the feet, which has never achieved by anyone in the planet. This milestone achieved by little master and the world’s leading run scorer both in Tests and ODIs, during the ODI match against a very powerful and tough opponent South Africa in February at Gwalior. Certainly this moment will be remaining forever” Times said.
“Sachin smashed very huge three “sixes” in his epic innings and his build up towards the double century was just unbelievable and mind blowing. When he was playing on 199, the home crowd of Gwalior was waving the Indian flags and were roaring loudly, as they were about to witness a history. And atlast the moment came, when Sachin smartly dubbed the ball softly and ran for a single passing the South African fielders. The world’s 1.5 billion cricket fans were lucky enough to get a memorable moment of their life,” Times added.
Sachin Tendulkar is having a great form at present and is looking forward to make his career complete by winning a World Cup for the nation. West Indies great and World’s destructive batsman during his era, Sir Vivian Richards also admitted that, Sachin’s record undoubtedly will remain forever and not only that then, no one would not even be able to get close to him. Sachin is having the most no of Test and ODI centuries to his name and also the runs at present.
