MSN Indian Sportsperson of the Year

Dec 23: Well there are no prizes to distribute to guess this year’s MSN Sportsman of the year because everyone knows it that, as it is pretty simple to answer. Yes of course, its Sachin Tendulkar, the world’s leading batsman for over two decades now, has been chosen as the MSN Indian Sportsperson of the year. The poll which includes the best 10 sports personalities of the year, has asked its fans and readers to vote for the best 10 sports performers of the year 2010. The nominees in the poll were sky high and mighty of India’s sports world.

Tendulkar was joined by Vishwanathan Anand, Vijender Singh, Sushil Kumar, Somdev Devvarman, Saina Nehwal, Pankaj Advani, Mary Kom, Gagan Narang and Ashwini Chidananda in the list. Sachin has now been used to top everywhere in the poll. He is creating record in every corner, whether it is at Centurion wicket where he achieved the feat of 50th test ton or over here topping the MSN sportsman of the year, he is just blowing his magic on top. The overall total votes were 32,848 out of which the little master got a whooping 15,854 votes, which says how much the fans follow him. Counting the votes in terms of percentage Sachin has received 47% of it.

Sachin being the most lovable sports person is not at all a surprise. Tendulkar has created many records in the year 2010. His stunning innings of 200 against South Africa at Gwalior, has forced the statisticians to draw a new column for double hundred. At the end of the year the world saw an epic feat achieved by the god of cricket completing his 50th Test ton, what else can you asks for more than this? The situation in which Tendulkar hit the century was very difficult one, as on one end he was fighting hard, while on the other side the team was collapsing.

Author:

Hello everyone this is Ronak Parekh and I’m currently student of S.Y.B.M.M. I’m 20 years old from Mumbai. I choose my career in B.M.M because I always wanted to do something which is of my interest. And my passion has always been sports especially cricket and F1. I really want to be linked with sports in my future. B.M.M course gives the opportunity in journalism from where I can move to sports category. When I was child I always used to play and watch cricket a lot which usually most of the people does. I gained my interest in F1 due to only one man and that was none other than seven time world champion Michael Schumacher. Actually I’m also very passionate about cars so it is really fun when I see this sport. Today I’m really excited about getting an opportunity to do internship for three months with the sports mirror, where I will have full freedom to express my views and opinions regarding every sport. I definitely will try my best to write the articles as good as possible which would be worth interesting for readers. I really whole heartedly thanking the sports mirror again for giving me this vital opportunity and I promise I will make the most of it.
