Dec 07: Mark Webber the Red Bull’s driver didn’t inform anyone, not even his team management about his shoulder injury, which was lastly revealed from his own book, which was published in Australia over the weekend. In his book which is named Up Front: A Season To Remember, the 34 year old Webber said that, he was injured from his mountain bike, when he crashed with his friend as they were riding together. The accident took place just after the Singapore Grand Prix at home, during the period of September. Though he was declared fractured, he was still eager to race in Japan Grand Prix, which was going to take place just in few days.
Mark was saved from racing in Japan early as the qualifying round was cancelled, as there was very heavy rain occurred at that point of time and so in this way he got many days to recover himself again very well, when he was going through the course of pain relieving injections. “I was riding the bike with a very great friend of mine” said Webber in his book. “Suddenly on the spot he crashed into me from front and I was not allowed to go anywhere. I was suffered with a fracture known as Skier. Japan has a very brutal track, so it was really fortunate for me to get a rest day on Saturday due to the rain and even the pre-injection helped me a lot during that course of time.” added Webber.
Mark hided this truth of injury from Roger Cleary, who is his trainer, Gary Harstein, who is Formula One’s senior medic and not only that then, even he didn’t mentioned to Christian Horner, who is Red Bull team principal and a very close mate of his and kept the secret of shoulder fracture to himself.
