The Arsenal who have got off with a shaky start early this season with a defeat against West Bromwich Albion at home and later against Chelsea. The poor start to the season created a thought in everyone’s mind that the team would again Under Perform and will turn out to cup less. Then later there was some real spark in the team and Arsenal started proving the statement right that ‘Form is Temporary but Class Is Permanent’.
The reason behind this is some real classy performance by some of the players who came back to form and then it was all good for Arsenal and they are back in the title Race with 5 points behind the leaders Chelsea and ahead of Manchester United in Goal difference. They are in well-deserved second position and are a real threat for both Chelsea and Manchester United. I would like to rank the top 5 players for Arsenal this season till now:
The 5th rank goes to Lukasz Fabianski:
The Arsenal second choice Goal Keeper was all bound with criticism’s last season for making some catastrophic mistakes in some crucial matches. But this season he seems to look more composed in front of the goal and is all set to secure the first spot in the absence of Almunia. The manger is more than happy to see the young lad playing with full of confidence and if he continues to display such fine performance then it would for the first choice Almunia to get his spot back.
The fine display by the young shot stopper has caused problems for the opposite teams to score and is one of the major reasons behind Arsenals current form.
The 4th rank goes to Jack Wilshere:
This is again not a regular starter for Arsenal. The absence of their captain Francesc Fabregas gave the highly rated 18 year old English midfielder a chance to perform. He took complete advantage of this opportunity and gave away some fine performance’s and made a maximum assist of 6 by any other Arsenal Player and even scored his 1st goal in the Champions League. He stood by the expectations of the manger and the versatility of the player to play in any position in midfield was one of the major reasons for gunners come back.
The 3rd rank goes to Alexander Song:
The player who was all out of form at the beginning of the season later picked up speed and scored two crucial goals one against Manchester City and a late winner against West Ham United. These two goals from him is enough to make it clear that he is back in form and is ready to display many more world class performances. The defensive midfielder finding his name in the score sheet is not a normal scene but when it happens it shows the real attacking intend of the team.
The 2nd rank goes to Marouane Chamakh:
The Moroccan international has proved to be a successful signing for Arsenal as he has already scored 7 goals and he is the second leading goal scorer for Arsenal till now. He has been more than impressive and the tall center forward has scored some wonderful goals with his head and has been a constant threat for the opposition defense. He is always confident and wants to have the ball and even work hard to win the ball back from the defender.
The 1st rank goes to Samir Nasri:
The best players of the season for Arsenal till now his deadly form and calmness in front of the goal is one of the major reasons behind the Arsenal’s successful rampage till now. The versatile French midfielder holds the facility to play as a Central Attacking midfielder and even can play in both the flanks is the top scorer for Arsenal with 8 goals. His constant attacking intends has led Arsenal right from the front in absence of Fabregas.
It’s all good for Arsenal with Robin Van Persie and Ramsey are ready to train again after a long term injury. The comeback of all the stars would make the team much stronger and out of all the above mentioned players the two are probably the second choice and if they could perform this way then it’s still more to come from the players who are all set to make an comeback.
