If there’s a discussion about the finest and inordinate batsmen in the history of cricket you cannot overlook him. If you talk about transforming upright starts into phenomenal centuries he will be at the top. If it’s about holding the world records he is again palpable in the list. This prodigious, agile and commendable champion all-rounder is “Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar”. From the age of 17 back in 1990 when it all started to till date he has evidenced to be an unsurpassed batsman and shown the mammoth flair he devises.
He has a god-gifted natural ability to play restfully even in the toughest conditions. God has sent this master to invent innovative strokes! He’s never seen awkward to play a new stroke against even the best bowlers of the world. At the early time of his career itself he triggered Warne a disruption in his line and length. He has sent Akhtar across the boundary line. He has faced McGrath with immaculate ease. This genius is indeed a ‘little master’.
Sachin has got good records against every nation of the world. Be it Australia (in Commonwealth Bank Tri-Series) where he recently helped India bring the trophy home. Or it be Srilanka where India won a test series and his contribution again was instrumental. And against Pakistan, England, South Africa, New Zealand too he performance has been phenomenal. He is also in the list of batsmen who have secured centuries against all other nine test playing nations.
Sachin has been a champion batsman for India and batted at various slots. And he has been successful mostly at all of them! He has a talent to adjust and adapt to any critical and tough condition. He has time and again proved to be an immoderate prodigy. He is the gift of God to the India and even to the cricketing realm. Adroit geniuses like him are a rarity!
Sachin was once appointed the captain of India and he had a short unsuccessful stint from 1996-2000. And, Harsha Bhogle at this commented-“An excessively talented is never a good leader! Such individual are so busy and involved within their self that they don’t get time for others! For example see –Sachin Tendulkar or a Brain Lara” Was he complementing him or criticizing! Well, I guess it’s another complement for him. And, that too is on his failure!!
In the past one year the little master has shown vintage form. He recently in the India-Australia match completed 1000 runs in test cricket in the calendar the year. I feel like the ‘exuberant and fearless Tendulkar’ leading India to victory in the Titans Cup (at Sharjah in 1997) is back! And it’s the perfect time I guess for him to reach the peak of his career. It would be a perfect world cup 2011 culmination for India when the maestro himself at his homeground Wankhare Stadium, Mumbai guides India to victory! We all cheer for him…Go Sachin..Go Go Go!!!
